Propel Ventures is a fast growing company based in an iconic Richmond building and recently recognised as a Great Place to Work.

At Propel, we find it heartbreaking that many software products fail; and we recognise that it takes very special skills to make products that people love. To solve this problem, we partner with well-known organisations to help them capture product market opportunities faster. Over the past three years we have developed eight market leading products for our clients - and we have developed these products on time and on budget and have won market share for them in each instance.

For the last year the team have been successfully working remotely, so although our office has re-opened, every Propel Ventures team member has the choice to work from the office or from home and we plan to make the office safe and fun so you will want to get out of the PJ’s at least a few times per week. This means we are also opening up our roles beyond Melbourne to anywhere in Australia.

The ideal candidate for this role will bring a level of creativity and smarts to business development to identify and nurture prospective clients. This individual will work closely with the founders, Ben & Paul, to uncover new leads and build the business.

You should apply if:

You have proven experience with B2B marketing processes - ie. you must be able to explain the quantifiable results you have achieved for B2B clients as a result of your efforts in prior roles;

You have a passion and track record for developing creative strategies which capture and engage senior technology executives; and

You are energetic, intelligent and creative and able to develop a strategy and tell a story.

What will you on a usual day?

  • Create interesting new strategies, events and content to unearth and engage with target customers

  • Manage, process & qualify marketing generated leads based upon specific lead qualification criteria; driving leads through the BDR process

  • Proactively prospect and build the business development pipeline by via a range of channels

  • Support targeted marketing campaigns as required

  • Actively use LinkedIn and other social media to find, connect and engage our target audience

  • Support the development, execution and ongoing refinement of the business development process, defining key process steps, tools, resources and other support needed in order to efficiently conduct BDR activities

  • Support our brand values in all customer interactions and build ‘virtual’ rapport with our target audience

  • Build the target contact database and gathering relevant data

  • Attend and support events to assist in customer engagements and lead generating activities as required

  • Provide activity updates and reporting to management on key metrics.
