We have an exciting opportunity to join our product strategy team as a product strategy manager.


For the last year the team have been successfully working remotely, so although our office has re-opened, every Propel Ventures team member has the choice to work from the office or from home and we plan to make the office safe and fun so you will want to get out of the PJ’s at least a few times per week. This means we are also opening up our roles beyond Melbourne to anywhere in Australia.


What you’ll do


Develop market-breaking business and product strategies which are then adopted by our clients to propel them to success.

Work directly with executive-level leaders as clients and facilitate forums to distill insights which can be used to develop the right business and product strategy.


Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams comprising engineers, UX designers and product managers to i) define the BUSINESS strategy AND the PRODUCT strategy, then ii) work closely with customers to define the right offering to develop to win market share, and if you wish to go all the way, you can be the product manager to develop the product all the way to in-market success.


Roll up your sleeves and do deep analysis in excel and then transform your insights into clear client presentations and you will be well positioned to advocate and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of your analysis


You will research and understand our client’s business challenges and develop creative solutions to those challenges by using a mix of traditional management consulting approaches, and a set of product-design centric approaches such as customer research, workshop facilitation and rapid prototyping.


Rapidly capture and communicate insights visually - creating supporting artefacts such as Customer Journey Maps, Service Blueprints and User Flows.


Communicate and get consensus for your ideas with client stakeholders, developers and managers at the appropriate fidelity and confidently facilitate collaboration between these disciplines.


We have a single MUST have requirement


An impressive background in business strategy ie. you must have had a front row seat seeing what good business strategy development looks like from either a role in a leading management consulting company, reputable business school experience or through holding in-house management or business strategy positions.

  • Ability to self manage time and effort in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities

  • Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills and interest in helping grow our strategy practice and capabilities within a rapidly growing organisation
