Propel Ventures is a fast-growing company that has a great culture and was recently recognised as a Great Place to Work. To better manage this growth, we have created a new role for an experienced Talent Lead to take our talent pooling, hiring and development to the next level and beyond!

For the last year our team has successfully been working remotely, so although our office has re-opened, every Propel Ventures team member has the choice to work from the office or from home. The office is a safe and fun place so many of our team members do get out of their PJ’s at least once a week for a change of scenery.

We differentiate ourselves by, and have a track record of, developing winning applications through a Product-led and Agile approach. Our team is fully involved in the design and development decision-making, helping to shape the solution.

What you’ll do

  • Own the company hiring plan including outcomes, systems and processes.

  • Work with hiring managers to ensure we are prioritising roles effectively against broader business objectives.

  • Manage relationships with key recruitment partners.

  • Work closely with hiring managers to build their teams by identifying, attracting, and hiring the right talent to fuel Propel’s growth.

  • Be a strategic thought partner and offer leaders guidance and support throughout the hiring process.

  • Screen applications to prioritise candidates for hiring managers.

  • Develop talent pools for key roles to minimise time to fill those roles.

  • Create a first class candidate experience from awareness through to onboarding such that candidates promote Propel whether or not they join our team.

  • Play a lead role in the execution of key programs of work to enable growth, team engagement and retention.

  • Establish strong relationships across the company and a thorough understanding of the needs of the different teams, and the roles beyond the job descriptions.

What we’re looking for

  • Prior experience in recruiting in the technology industry

  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively articulate value to candidates and leaders, proactively keep stakeholders apprised of developments plus listen well and seek to understand.

  • Passion for phenomenal customer service. You are committed to provide a great experience for candidates and leaders.

  • Great organisation skills: Ability to juggle multiple candidates and tasks and stay on top of all issues. Keep candidates informed throughout the process.

  • An interest and flexibility to extend your role to broaden your impact on Propel including Human Resources

  • Willing to roll up your sleeves and be hands on the tools when needed

  • Passionate for equality and inclusion, and are enthusiastic about bringing this in to your work.

  • Comfortable with the constant changes of working in a fast-paced, growing scale-up.
