We are looking for a Tax & Accounting Subject Matter Expert with Business Analyst skills, or someone wanting the opportunity to move out of an accounting  professional services environment and move into a technology business. The opportunity is to join a high performing software team, building compliance solutions  for small businesses and accountants.

What you’ll do
  • Work with Project Lead to analyse customer needs and relevant Tax legislation to develop workflows and requirements for tax software for accountants in practice.

  • Provide subject matter expertise around Australian Tax rules and legislation

  • Communicate requirements to the software development team to help them understand the context of the problems.

  • Manage user story development and prioritisation of the backlog and ensure efficient management of sprint based rituals (standups/retros/sprint planning sessions).

  • Ensure quality assurance is maintained at a high level and feature development process is as unencumbered as possible.
